Which to choose? Mini Skid Steer

Thanks for the input. I think I link the looks of the Toro TX1000 the best. However I am leaning towards the bobcat because local dealer and able to rent attachments. If they would give me good deal on the new Mt85 I may go that way. It has joystick ISO drive control and operators platform...

Which to choose? Mini Skid Steer

I think I will go with the bobcat Mt55 if it works out. Any pro or cons to this machine? What about tracks? Run the oem ones or have them changed?

Which to choose? Mini Skid Steer

I need some input. I am looking to purchase a new mini. I have been looking at the Bobcat Mt 55 (We have a local dealer and we would be able to rent attachments), Toro Dingo TX 427 (good dealer 128 miles away, probably wont be able to rent attachments) or the Boxer 322D (dealer 277 miles away...

    Japanese ninja style tree spikes

Well I have been using Treespotter's tip with my geckoes & I am really liking it. With my Geckoes it really frees up the movement in my ankles. I did not notice any problems with the climbers getting out of position either. I can go on a limb walk and almost can forget that I have them on...

    Japanese ninja style tree spikes

I think he means; don't put the strap over the part of the shank that goes up to the pad. rather pass the strap in-between the shank and ankle so it is just around the ankle. Do I have it correctly Treespotter?

    MS 440 rebuild and modifications

Thank you SixGun I got the parts ordered. New meteor piston and rings. I checked sqish with piece of solder before I disassembled, it had .030. After removing gasket it had zero clearance. What do you suggest? Should I have my local engine shop remove some material or use something to space it?

    MS 440 rebuild and modifications

OK first question for you saw experts; The saw is fifteen years old and the cylinder walls are smooth (no cross hatch left) and there are no scratches. Do you recommend honing the cylinder and replacing the rings or just replacing the jug and piston. I did not keep track of the rings when I...

    Saw Wrench?

The hex surface area on the new stihl captive nuts is like half the depth of the regular ones. I have found it next to impossible to use the screnches that come with the saw. They slip off & round out right away. Plus when you use a scrench, you are not getting the nut near as tight as it feels...
