    Husky 357xp chainsaw for sale

These are amazing little saws! A 357 with an 18 or a 20 is a ripper! Its one of my favorites! I have 2 or I would buy another. You don't even notice the weight difference over a 353 or a 246xp. (If it doesn't sell Ill take it for $300! LOL!) Ben

    Equipment Inspection

I have threadlock on the shackles of my Tree Austria and I check them with an allen key once a week and visually inspect them every day. I put a paint mark streak that hits the bolt and the housing as well so visual inspection is easy. If the paint mark is uneven, then the bolt has loosened...

    Silver Maples!

Hey all, Any real good tricks for fully rigged (no cut and chuck) broad crowned Silver Maple removals? Ive done plenty of them and they seem to always be a pain in the butt with so many long leaders but not a lot of good high tie-ins or good central high rigging points. Thought maybe some of...

    shopping for lighter harness

I have used the Tree Austria 3.1 for a year now and climb in it everyday. It is very comfortable although a bit more minimalistic compared to some of its competitors. It does not have huge, wide leg loops or a ton of padding on the back and yet when snugged up properly it is very comfortable...

    Chainsaw Pants, Advice?

I have worn my Pfanner's 3 to 5 days a week for almost a year now and they are still going strong. No ripped seams, no broken zippers, etc. I bough the Husky pants before I got the Pfanner;'s and wore them for about 2 months. Broken zippers and ripped seams in the first 3 weeks and they are...

    mid size saw for milling

I have done a fair amount of milling with the alaskan saw mill. I think my 395xp is the bare minimum! The 3120 even for smaller stuff with a short bar is really the way to go. Milling with an Alaskan is quite the project and and underpowered saw makes the job no fun. Bigger the better! Ben

    GriGri???

Thanks guys so far for the info. Great point about the AR capabilities Tom D. My reason for posting this is that I climb SRT 80% of the time depending on the job and basal anchor 95% of those climbs. I have been using the GriGri because I was under the impression it was fine for that purpose...

    GriGri???

This was touched on in a previous thread but there was not any absolute clarification. Is the Petzl GriGri acceptable for use in an SRT basal anchor setup or not? Discuss......

    Best <$500.00 ground saw

I agree with Treetrim. And, the 545 or the 353 ( same as a 346 xp) have 2 year warranties instead of the 6 months that the Xp saws have. Ben

    whats the difference?

Those numbers sound spot on and are what I remember reading somewhere. That is the only difference, rolling efficiency. Will not be a factor in slack tending probably. Ben
