I was going to mention netd just wasnt sure how far you were considering. I based my build off some of their ideas. A local guy had one, they are nice... Big big money. I scratched my head over some things but none are perfect i guess. Any local custom fab shops around you? I went with an...
Ive got an 2007 1290h. Same as an older 1590 with a different infeed chute. Same parts manual otherwise. I love it. Will chip big if needed, and just demolishes tree tops and whole trees.
A lot of my trees aren't accessible. I find id rather climb than lay out an alturnamat road too. I cant stand leaving tire marks on lawns. I don't care to drive two trucks either, just another equation to add. Less is more for how i sell myself. My other equipment makes up for not using the...
Break the wood down with an auger drive bit and an Atom splitter. Maybe $2k forthe auger drive, $500 for the atom splitter. Use the auger for planting, and the atom splitter to make fence rails. Both are multi use. I just got the atom splitter and its great for breaking down logs.
Its painfully slow to reach the ground on the tuepen i ran. With that said your are right in saying the mess would be cleaned by the time you came down from 60-75 feet. Yes you can drive with outriggers down.
Treestuff has discount codes too. Extra 5% plus for different codes. I paired up with a friend, i think we bought around 20. No one else could touch their price. No one.
That little vermeer chips wood nice. My friend has one, would never own one. Bearing mounts are cracked, chute is cracked. Proprietary parts. Naaa.
From what i understand disk chips wood better, drum chips brush better. Ive owned two drums and cant complain. Have ran multiple discs and the...
Ms 361. Prob 5-6 years old. Wore 16" and 20" bars. Nothing broken that i know. Prob needs tune up. Would sometimes die at idle, blah blah. Still in service. All original motor and carb. Prob needs small items. Lower screw missing on saw dawg. "Not a saw geek. I don't take near as care of them...
Yes it was being designed to fit my old woodsman but can probably work on something else. If your a good welder fabricator it needs some finishing touches.
Mount it to your machine. Paint. Needs pillow block bearings as I stole them for my firewood conveyor. I have a bunch of hydraulics with it. I'd take 500. The hydraulic motor was 300 alone.
What brand chipper? I have a winch project i started, hanging out in the barn. Bandits winch kit is just shy of 5k if they paint it for you, if you have a bandit...
