    Munter hitch for lowering limbs

Sorry about my late arrival to this discussion, but I did want to reply to the original question regarding the use of the munter hitch. I use it almost everyday for lightweight (<500 lbs) an aluminum hms caribiner, 3/16” amsteel, & 7/16” tubular webbing from the tree. Carry this system with me...

The importance of the circle check

I haven’t met anyone that has been in this business for any period of time that hasn’t witnessed or been involved with losing a trailer. On my third day on the job, we lost a chipper. Started to pass us on a residential street, foreman slammed it into the curb with the bucket truck as gently as...

    The "right" way to prune

Thankfully for me Tom, most of the trees I prune, have been visited by me at least a half dozen times. (Doing nothing, is doing something if you choose to do it) Mostly, I only do what is absolutely necessary the first time and view the response over a year or two. I very rarely prune a mature...

    Camp Gyro

I'm with Aerial Traveler (sorry don’t know your name), using the gyro without the grommets. Still kept my ring on my onyx saddle as a convenient place to attach things temporarily or if the gyro didn’t work as planned. Been very happy with this setup!

That makes sense! I swear it was listed as 11mm, but we all know that rope/cord diameter is not an exact science. Now I have to go check the spool.

Thanks for all the interest in the ‘McGovern hitch’ my fellow Treeple, & especially David for posting. I’m social media challenged & if you see my attempts to video, I’m even worse at that! I will try to answer any questions that I can & all ? are welcome & any feedback is much appreciate. I...
