    Bucket Bail Out Line

There’s several options out there. Sterling makes one that’s nice and compact. Our company just has a throw line pouch with 75’ of throw line and a weight that can be used to haul up a climb line. Oddly enough we had to use this with our 1 year old bucket truck due to a mechanical error. The...

Tree Devotionals (Contain Bible Verses, so enter at your own risk)

We can see diversity emerging from all animals and humans over just the past couple hundreds of years. I don’t find it difficult at all to believe we could have such a wide diversity of cats within only a few thousand years...

how to become a certified/licensed crane operator ?

Yeah, we tried that. It’s a bit awkward to ask a competitor to help train you…they are a nice company and sold us their crane for a fair price, but they’re not really interested in helping us much more than that.

how to become a certified/licensed crane operator ?

Yes, he’s our employee and he is operating the crane we own. It’s a 1998 Grove TMS640. Like I said, he was certified by NJ Crane experts but he still has so much to learn. I am still learning as well and I’m just trying to find resources so we can get better. Thanks.

how to become a certified/licensed crane operator ?

It seems odd that I would need to look to another industry for this training when our industry has been using cranes for decades… I’ve been scouring the archives for information and haven’t found anything yet other than a guy who was scamming people apparently. Would really appreciate any...

    Anyone using speak easy comms?

Yes, everyone is using the Sena 30k. You can use those with Bluetooth or MESH. The Bluetooth connection is private while MESH is open. The crane operator or climber can open MESH at anytime which puts everyone on the MESH network. Then they can jump off MESH and go back to their private...

    Anyone using speak easy comms?

If you’re looking for a good comms set up for crane work I can’t say enough good things about the SENA 30k system. I pair with the crane operator over Bluetooth on our own private network. The rest of the crew is on the MESH system. When I need to talk to the crew I can open the MESH on my...

how to become a certified/licensed crane operator ?

So, my crane operator is SUPER green and still has much to learn. He passed his crane certification workshop from NJ Crane Experts, but he needs MORE TRAINING. Especially on details like crane set up and cribbing. Where can one go for more? Books? Online courses? In person workshops? Surely...

    tree help after wind storm

Do you ever watch “Tree Fails“ o YouTube? 99% of those are videos of homeowners who thought they could take care of their trees themselves. Just saying, it’s at least worth paying a couple hundred bucks for a consultation from an arborist before you do the work yourself. Best of luck to you.

    tree help after wind storm

I cannot echo @Stumpsprouts loudly enough. With a tree that close to the power lines, you should not be trying to do anything with it without help from a professional arborist. A good friend of mine was electrocuted 8 years ago. It’s a miracle he survived, his life will never be the same.

The Fundamentals of General Tree Work: 25th Anniversary Edition

Thanks Patrick! So excited to have my own copy now. I’m still new to the industry with only 10 years under my belt. I read the digital copy about 5 years ago. So excited to read this again. Thanks!

Tree Devotionals (Contain Bible Verses, so enter at your own risk)

We’ve strayed off course? Why don’t you reply to @CaPowell in post #104. Just because you don’t believe we can have the species variety today after 6,000 years doesn’t mean it’s not possible.

Tree Devotionals (Contain Bible Verses, so enter at your own risk)

The process of breeding animals is like @CaPowell has already said, you’re actually thinning out DNA code. All of our cat breeds are from people breeding out characteristics that they don’t want in a cat. It’s easy to imagine a cat origins created by God with a large DNA base and through time as...

Tree Devotionals (Contain Bible Verses, so enter at your own risk)

I have to agree with @CaPowell and wanted you to know Tom that it’s refreshing that you’re willing to look into this. I’m attaching a link to a brief argument for YE and within the article is a link to the longer more scientific article. The basis for a YE is based on the foundational literal...

Tree Devotionals (Contain Bible Verses, so enter at your own risk)

Scientists are making new discoveries everyday. I think we can all agree on that. As for current evidence that you may not have seen, well there is a wealth of information in the link @Reach posted. Take this example...

Tree Devotionals (Contain Bible Verses, so enter at your own risk)

I find it sad and disheartening that you’re unwilling to have a dialogue and discuss scientific facts. You are intentionally blinding yourself to truth. Scientists are making more discoveries with each passing day and there’s current evidence for a YE that you’ve never even seen or heard about...

MISINFORMATION: Note Edit Kubrick Admits he faked the moon landing videos

It amazes me how liberals so easily hand away their rights. Why is it that you are all so against freedom of speech? Who cares if what Daniel is saying is non-sense. You don’t have to read it! One of these days your beloved “fact checkers” are going to tell you that you’re not allowed to run...

    Crane work

Lots of factors that could come in to play in that scenario. Can you give some specifics on the situation you’re referring to? My short answer would be once the pick is on the hook it’s the crane operators responsibility to safely move the piece to the ground as there’s nothing else the...

    Chipper comes off truck

My wife sent me these pics a couple days ago. This happened right in front of my house. Her text said, “Hope you’re having a better day than these guys…”

    Comms 2020

It’s completely different and more secure. But, our new Sena 30K’s can still pair with an SMH10. When we do crane work, my climber, the crane operator and myself will pair our headsets. My climber and crane operator use SMH10 comms and I have the 30K. The 3 of us work on a closed circuit. If I...
