    Sticht Hitch

Smaller than the 24” isc? Or is that too small even? I liked both the standard DMM size that comes with the TM and the blue pictured but thought they seemed ever so slightly floppy. Acceptable but felt like it could be improved.

    Sticht Hitch

Sticht is slowly replacing all my other climbing setups lol. The RIT is my current lanyard. I think the next step for that one is to find a slightly smaller ring. Seems to be an odd medium size on the tree websites for a ring at least. Larger chord is a lot easier to adjust, can do it aloft to...

    Sticht Hitch

Love the sticht! Totally changed my life already. Here’s my preferred version so far. The shackle stays in place well, amazing tending. But honestly the basic version with only the single ring is pretty close to being on par with this as well. Such a great concept.

Trade / Sell : mcrs, MORE ADDED - drenaline, safebloc

not 100% sure about getting rid of either yet, but figured i would see if anybody could put them to better use. the MCRS is an incredible saddle, would kill me to get rid of it. Unfortunately I am quite thin and it slides up on me pretty bad. This has been a disused backup for awhile now. The...

    Drones for line setting?

Anybody ever use a drone for line setting? If so, which model? My brother mentioned he saw it online. I would be smitten if there were a cheapish beater drone that works well for this

    mapping movement within a tree

The specs of your system are almost exactly the same as mine haha. Main line SRT, 36’ DEDA lanyard one side with a HC pulley. If it gets more complex add a 72’ MRS system tied to the tail of the main line for secret weapon redirects or use as a system. One step further use a 110’ line with a HH...

Trouble searching threads - tail management

They can be a beast to tackle... I don’t climb them often but I usually just set multiple lines after dividing the tree into work segments hoping only one system is necessary. It can just be too ridiculous sometimes setting the ideal redirects in those things... Use just enough rope. A 75 foot...

    What rope should I get?

Anyone know how the jacket is on yale prism or arrow frog in comparison to blue moon? Also, anyone care to compare new ivy to old ivy?

Why static SRT rope should not be used for DRT?

I'm not 100% either but I'm pretty sure it's more in reference to the rope material construction, being less durable. Kernmantle and whatnot. I use marlow vega for the occasional ddrt and it is dreamy imo.

    Nutrition supplement suggestions

I dont recall the exact numbers but there are studies that indicated vitamin C enriched gelatin increased collagen production during exercise and reduced joint/tendon injury for 6 hours. Couldn't tell ya if it changes anything but I make a packet of unflavored gelatin with mashed up fruit...

Unsure about this pine in MN

Interesting, youd say that even with the diameter and length of the branches? I'm used to them being so tall, thin and scraggly. Dont have ready access to the tree unfortunately, or I'd just go snap more photos

Unsure about this pine in MN

Bark looks like a red pine but it grows nothing like one. Short and super thick, maybe 45 feet tall but branches are very long. 25"? Dbh. Photos aren't great, I didnt think to ask here when I was taking them. Austria pine?
