Man...I've been getting great results with this new Garden Sharp tool previously mentioned. When the chippers pulling and chipping performance is dropping off a bit I dress the knives 25 strokes and it is only taking material off the face of the knife. Close it up and it's chipping great...
That pruner is amazing. I've used it on a job and made multiple dozens of cuts and been surprised the battery didn't even show dropping one bar. Very capable tool.
It feels a tad heavy in use...and I've used power polesaws almost daily for 10 or 20 years.
Great idea cangrejo. How do you find the balance and manipulation of the C Hook to be in that configuration for throwing? And how throwable is it with heavier line - like Tacyon?
One of the things I loved about the Captain Hook from the start was how throwable it is with 10mm and how easily...
Just recieved my Akimbo II yesterday - a work of art and thing of beauty.
I was disappointed ahead of time hearing it was larger than the original but, in hand and without my original in the house to compare it to, I didn't notice a difference in size.
Sadly I'm working mostly the tops of big...
Nice! The thing that comes to mind for me is the better quality of life you get to live all through life as a result of your personal responsibility choices. Every day I can imagine you being that much more impressed with yourself and your course through this world.
On the other hand I look...
No. Pine and fir. We did Skyline Logging on ground you could only log that way or by helicopter. Lots of fun...
The only thing that had me want to get away from that was guys competing to be the most animalistic possible and them drinking till midnight and showing up to work at 6. After I...
At 17/18 I did a year of janitorial work while going to college. I broke a $18 oil lamp while dusting a fancy house in the Napa Valley Wine Country. The lady of the house said not to worry about it but I asked where she had gotten it. The owner of the company told me not to worry about it but...
Great info, thanks.
I usually have a Zeiss Lens Wipe packet with me ($5 per 100 from Walmart) to clean the rope surfaces of the original Akimbos. Some reviews I hunted up for Akimbo II had comments where it was apparent that people could have benefited from doing this.
Sounds incredible I'll...
I'm ordering one now anyway but between now and the time I employ it in pitchy circumstances do you mind giving me your perspective on how resistant it is to pitch spots/stoppage on the rope? Thanks for a great product Jaime. I'm still loving and will continue to use my original Akimbos.
I've had it happen certain times that I thought they should have contacted me. It was far less frequent when my wife was more energized about the business and would send out well worded and sincere thank you cards. If I were committed to it dropping to near zero I would have that done and do...
Of course you're right. Full stop.
And, if a person wants to grow there are many avenues to electivly take to do so. I in a sentence or two pointed to one way that I have benefited from. If I was a good writer maybe I would spend a couple of pages or a chapter in a book getting the point...
It's too bad employees can't be held to account for damages or losses. I paid for a thing or two in life out of my own pocket as an employee and have always looked back at that as one of the most cost effective learnings in life.
Haven't watched this yet but looks like it might have a bunch of good info. I have Akimbo's and love them but not binding with pitch would be an incredible bonus.
(I did a bit of a search and didn't see a better place to put this video and comment. If there is I apologize.)
