Nope. Moved here because during covid I was turning wrenches. Got head hunted for a job out this way.
Nothing specifically keeping me here. Our home, some debt, but nothing too crazy.
Not real seasonal no. Winter is prime time for oaks and removals.
Edit for autocorrect
Yeah we're almost...
Yeah shut down/close up.
Basically the three of us are producing more than we can sustain long term. We're all maxed out in what we can accomplish in a day.
We did have issues with being too cheap. We've been raising rates, but still are grappling with work being bid months ago, so there's a...
I'm still dealing with long days and a lack of qualified or able bodied people. We're dealing with constant machine failures, thankfully under warranty, but none the less it's adding a ton of time to things. Cloey rolled her ankle, so she's on light duty and everything fell on me alone again...
People who have hired a manager/gm, how does that work?
I'm to the point I'm frazzled. Even in trying to slow down.
I'm open to hiring someone to help us make this work better. I feel like I'm in a negative feedback loop where my inputs cannot do enough, neither can my wife's. We're just...
I ordered some diehard over memorial Day from Tipco (tree injection products company). I know they're a legit company, but so far I've not gotten any correspondence. No order confirmation, no calls or emails back (reached out daily now). I have fert to do so I just ordered from someone else. I'm...
Check out thrift books. I've gotten $150 books for like $12. You have to check how old the editions are, but it's an amazing resource for study material.
The CA study guide has a list of supplemental books recommended for test takers as well.
I would get the newest edition of the CA study...
I knew a guy at a big 3 that did some amazing things. He started out running an office for a big 3. Left to start a company with a loyal cohort from his office. He built it to spec within 3 years to where the big 3 company wanted to buy his new office. He sold to them, ran it for a while, then...
I've been debating a battery saw. Idk how they'd work in -20. I know my new spikes are just too sharp still. I've tried dulling them gently, might need to be more aggressive. Long legs so my spikes are normally extended out fully.
Side note, I wonder if my lineman boots have anything to do...
I agree, frog walking takes A LOT more energy, for me at least. I'm nearly exclusively SRS with rope walking. Go so far as to 3:1 myself back on limb walks most days
I CRAVE fresh lemon these days. I drink lemonade a ton. I'd wondered if there was a correlation there. I eat a lot of meat, really high protein diet, so this would make sense. I'd started doing lemon/lime ade so maybe my body is saying something. I know acidic bodies increase inflammation too...
Cloey should have a light day on PHC work today. When I get home we're all going to dive into this together. I looked it up last time you'd mentioned it but wound up working too much, compounding issues. Thank you for this (again).
I didn't know I could hire an therapist to come in and teach. Never even thought of that. That might be the ticket so I'm not talking too much, lol.
Sitting hurts, totally relate. I've got a long plane ride coming up and I'm dreading it.
I'll check out U of M archives and see if they have...
