Best 32 strand: blue 32, hyperstatic, squir etc

As a dedicated ascent line blue32 is pretty solid it’s just miserable to climb gloveless MRS, I haven’t heard a complaint at all from the guys running squir around me

    New CMI Pulley

Splices on all lines, no hand tied terminations, canopy anchor must be a basic ring jam, base anchors are essentially two half hitches with a ring jam as well, try and stupid proof a company and eventually you just make the work harder than it needs to be.

    New CMI Pulley

I would have picked up the RNA however my current company is a Knotless company for life support so that’s my only reason for not.

    New RopeRunner?!?

Yes it’s been discontinued. Maybe CMI can make a killer version of it in a year or so

    New RopeRunner?!?

I really wanted to love the RRP, in fact I tried twice, however I’ve been running a bollard vertec for a couple months now and I’m actually going to keep it. The main difference for me is how much more consistent and fluid the bird operates, I always struggled to feather the RRP for fine...

    New RopeRunner?!?

So the friction body is a running update, it was a change to the lower attachment point to “fix” the carabiner lock some were experiencing, as far as the new pulley body “upgrade” yeah I’m disappointed it’s a $170 option instead of a running update, also it’s not much more expensive than the...

    New device from ISC

The way the swivel pops out makes me uneasy

    New device from ISC

I have concerns over how quick those friction keys will wear, I know the unicender would chew through the keys

    New device from ISC

I think you’re right, that’s been radio silent but I was hoping that was going to be notch’s surprise for TCIA.

31-40 inch is what they say, I found the medium to be close to the tree motion size

I’ve ran this saddle on and off since April, just haven’t clicked with it. All of the adjustment straps have never been cut or adjusted the long adjustable bridges have a knot and a lock stitch (company policy) couple picks on the leg strap but nothing concerning and really like new. I also have...

    The Akimbo 2

that’s my plan for it as well, ascent/dragging tail/secondary system/ device to stay on rope and keep line under tension for redirects.

ART BlackBird for "MRT and SRT"

There’s a voluntary part upgrade/ inspection notice issued for the blackbird today if any of the early adopters here got it definitely check it out. https://climb-art.de/BB/Aufruf/SicherheitSafetyNotice.pdf

    The Akimbo 2

I find it to be less finicky overall, I have a couple ropes that I can run SRS and MRS without adjustment and most of the ropes I’ve tried with only a couple of exceptions are within one adjustment of where I usually keep it for my main work lines. My black widow has some glazing and that’s the...

    Bulldog OAR

Awesome thank you for the info!

    Bulldog OAR

Does this “break” harder like the OG runners? Where there’s the initial tension and then it opens up or can this be finessed smoother like the zigzag?

    Oak decline in central Michigan

I was referring to the MIDNR guidelines for oak wilt which changed a little while ago which now is April 15th through July 15th which from what I’ve read is based upon sapbeetle breeding/feeding season. DTE used to issue its own oak season dates but now it’s open season unless in a “high risk”...
