    I would just like to confirm that it's not a counterfeit, knock off or dirty return... I have never NOT been able to find pictures of any rope I have ever found. The only scion ropes I have found are blue 11.5mm and orange at 12.5mm.. I will say that the rope I have looks like 11.5mm 24 strand...

    There's many other sheaves that'll fit on the quickie. For example that plastic one petzl makes and I think a lot of the cmi micro pulleys dotoo.

    The trees I've seen the black stuff on still look healthy too. We have been getting a lot more rain up here than we ever have. The trees i see this on do look like they should be getting plenty of sun but maybe it's only on the back side the sun doesn't reach?

    Does this happen to various hardwoods in the northeast? I'm in New york and see this black stuff on hard woods too. I've got a customer that says it's spreading and is asking me how to handle it. Should I look to get more sunlight on the trees in question or is there some other way to treat it?

    Yea, it's all about the weather ur working in.... If it's so cold you need gloves, then slic pins can be aggravating. If you don't use them in that weather too much then your probably not gonna think twice about it. There's Def a better, easier way and one of these guys will figure it out.
