Air launchers, and pneumatic line lifting devices

I over answered the question, and created a 'buzz'. I am not making an launcher just for arborists. I make sporting launchers for extreme sports, and T-shirt launchers. I did invent and patent an aluminum 'air' version of previously only plastic 'water' valve. There was some interest in using...

Air launchers, and pneumatic line lifting devices

Well, I have been out of touch, but we got patents on our valves, chambers, grip and trigger, and a complete, modular launcher. It's the future! No turning back now! Thanks everyone!

Home made rope spool /rewinder. Great for 80' and under, but can't keep up with high speed 130'+ launches.

Tied my rope to the 150 foot throw line. The bag went up beyond 150 feet, and started pulling rope. As it settled, and I fed it rope, the knot caused thing to pause- so the limb was about 148 feet! Not a strong enough treetop to climb, but fun to test with.

A few people have messaged me about pressure requirements. With air launchers, you can get equal range, with lower pressures, if you have more volume. That is also easier and faster if pumping by hand. A couple members that bought some of our parts are achieving 100+ foot range with only 40-50 PSI.

New Revision 10 launcher, Throw bag test. (Arborists)

Ok, I want things to be apples to apples, so I bought a Weaver throw line kit with 2mm line and a 16 oz bag. The New Rev. 10 launcher, with a tiny 18" barrel I had for fishing. First try ever with a throw bag. The work I did with the USFS was weighted 6oz 'dead' tennis balls and smaller .8 mm...

Improved Throwline Cannons (Better than APTA)

Absolutely, I was brought into this mid-stream, and mid-thread, and new to forums in general. I tried to reply to any requests of information, before knowing the purpose of this thread. In my earlier comments, I have also shown that I had no intentions of hijacking his thread, and did start my...

Really simplified, a 12 oz can is just over 12 oz, like 12.56, or rounded up to 13 oz. It's like 355g of liquid, and 13-16g of can.

Height is controlled by pressure, 100' is easy. Our largest ones do 12 oz soda cans or frozen bait slugs out 250-300 yards. That is pulling a 40# mono, so a heavier pull line probably won't go the entire 900 feet. Most of our regular multi launcher designs that have a bottom line for CO2, get...

    DIY Throw ball cannon

I'm also not a "sky is falling kind of guy", and had friends build crazy big PVC cannons back in the day. And yes, some blew up, or came apart, but luckily no one ever got hurt badly. The consensus is that the PVC formulation has changed over the years, and the old 'good stuff' has gotten...

    DIY Throw ball cannon

Most combustion cannons only generate around 40 PSI, and a lot of noise. More power/range is usually created with a larger barrel & chamber/explosion/noise, but generates the same pressure, just more volume = longer push. Pneumatics let you have a controlled, reliable, repeatable performance...

Improved Throwline Cannons (Better than APTA)

As yesterday was my first day here, after being invited several times, I realized that Sinthome started this thread to sell his design. I do not wish to Hijack his thread. I appreciate the interest, in all of our designs, and just like T-shirt launchers, there is, and will continue to be, more...

Improved Throwline Cannons (Better than APTA)

Ahh, I knew you sounded familiar- no wonder you have great ideas! Thanks for the mention! I have newer toys for you to try now! Anyhow, I do sell the common $7.99 trigger trigger buttons like seen on E-Bay and Palmer's ect, and I freely show the mods you can do them. But the $22 performance...

Improved Throwline Cannons (Better than APTA)

Sinthome has lots of great ideas and valid points. If you have the equipment to drill, ream, and tap, aluminum cylinders are perfect- we add a fill nipple, a gauge, and a safety pop off.

Air launchers, and pneumatic line lifting devices

Hello all, I am new to this forum, and love the ideas shared here. I have built launchers for a couple of guys on here, and found a few others that have stumbled across our launchers online. I have been building launchers for around 30 years, and have started a tiny company, J&J Multi Launchers...
