Any updates on the rope runner 2?

Any idea if the RR1 will still be manufactured after the RR2 is released?

    Compact Bulldog Bone

Thoughts on using a hitch above the bone? Seen this by someone doing cat rescue.

    Compact Bulldog Bone

Do you mean disconnect the center piece (that being the spine?) with the hole in it and turn it over?

    "DRT" systems

Yes the I'D works well with the 1/2 NFPA rope we use at the Fire Dept. Its great for up and down movement but tricky (for me) to limb walk and any movements operating "one-handed". The 1/2 KM-III shows it is a 12mm line, whereas the NFPA rope we use is 12.5 or even a full 13 for some I believe...

    Rope Wrench

Thanks...it appeared to be the single eye ropelogic one at treestuff. I see they carry a double eye for the HC also. I had wondered if the single eye would work for the HC as well as the pinto....looks like it does.

    Rope Wrench

Hard to tell in the pic, is that the tether with one eye for the pinto or two for the hc?

    "DRT" systems

Thanks, good information. It's interesting to see some usage with these devices on 13mm static.

    "DRT" systems

Thanks for that info. Mechanicals seem to work best on it, like the I'D. We also have the MPD's but those are not user friendly in trees. Realistically, at the moment the wrench is the only SRT mulitcender device that might be able to get the ok for fire service tree rescue use. That being (if...

@JeffGu have you tested a RopeRunner or Rope Wrench on the fat NFPA kernmantle?

    "DRT" systems

I suppose a BDB and a BDBXL would be a pretty sweet DSRT setup. The Adjustable Bone works for me all the way down to 11mm Blaze, would a XL version that would work on 1/2 inch static kernmantle still work down to say 11.5mm Tackyon? Unfortunately I don't think I could get approval to use it in...

Gordon, that sounds interesting. I have a couple of pieces about that length. Would the weight limit be greater for the BDBXL? I'm gonna need to find a tree care company to work with part-time to pay for my gear addiction

    "DRT" systems

Thanks JeffGu for the detail response. The "fatty" NFPA rope you have is most likely the same that I am referring to. I'm on a Technical Rescue Team with a Fire Department that started specifically including Tree Rescue. I don't see us getting arborist type ropes because of NFPA, so I have been...

    WTB Rope Wrench - ZK2

I know this is an old thread, if anyone is still out there what are the chances of the ZZ working on NFPA rated 1/2 line?

Blaze 120ft from Treestuff one eye splice. Used about 5 times, by that I mean climbing around for a couple of hours each time trying it out. I'm not an arborist, it hasn't been used for working all day. Have not seen any pulled fibers. Did run about a 10ft section over some moss, wiped it down...
