Bore cut thru the front of face notch cut

Just wondering what the benefit/ point of plunging straight through the front and center of your face notch would be? Would this be a safer alternative to cut a deeper than normal face notch that bypasses the center of gravity?? Lemme know!

    Blake’s Hitch Trick

By including a running bowline (capturing the standing part of the line) before tying the Blake’s hitch you can replicate the slack tending pulley effect! Rope on rope won’t be as smooth as having the pulley, but it does work!

    SPRAT (for a climbing arborist)

Has anyone here had the opportunity to go through the SPRAT training? If so, I’d like to know if there’s any correlation or techniques that I could take from it and apply to my tree climbing skills?? I’m thinking aerial rescue/ modern SRS techniques. Thanks!!

    Aerial Lift/ Climber Rescue Tips?

I work for a municipality in which many times we utilize a bucket truck on the street side of the tree and a back climber working the areas of the tree out of reach from the boom. Our situation is unique which requires tailoring a specific rescue plan. Thanks for your input on this!
