I'm not sure how a .058 chain would burn up a tip on a .063 bar as long as the pitch matched.
The chain would be sloppy in the bar which would give you a crooked cut and put wear on the bar and chain but not the tip.
From what I can see in the picture you posted your new bar will suffer the same...
There isn't anything wrong with putting a 3/8 tip on a .063 bar as long as the 3/8 pitch chain gauge is .063 to match the bar , not the tip.
If you gave me the numbers I asked for it would prove that the pitch on the chain doesn't match the pitch on the bar nose or the pitch on the drive...
Looks like I'm not going to get an answer to my question so I'll call it a .404 chain on a 3/8 bar.

I haven't replaced one, my bars usually require replacing long before the nose goes.
It wouldn't hurt to save a nose or two from spent bars just in case you damage one but I'm not sure if you can purchase single rivets.
The number of teeth on the nose sprocket will prove the pitch and the number on the chain will identify it.
I suspect the rim sprocket is damaged as well.
That would be a contributing factor.
I would suggest using a lower viscosity bar lube.
If you are manually pumping oil and have the output opened to maximum your oil tank should be close to empty when the fuel tank is empty.
Without the manual pump it should be down to at least 1/3 from being...
You can always replace the tip, use something like transmission oil or vegetable oil and crank the oil output up to maximum and grease the sprocket often.
They make optional oiling systems for the nose on long bars when making lumber just for that reason, the oil just has too far to travel on...

If the face closed and stopped from too narrow a face cut it could split out.
Not progressing with the back cut can also cause it.
If the back cut is partial and the hinge wood is thick, the tree wants to tip but the hinge is holding so the tension is released by splitting the tree.
