Mark and I go way back, we are professional smart asses. We all just need to keep learning from each other and the many others in our community I know I have.
Yep, I have had a lot of practice sessions in the past. Telling clients and sales " I can do this!" Need to look at real numbers and value. Still learning.
I forget, I think around $8,000.00 between counter weight and outrigger pads there were 4 semi loads having to come for setup and return for tear down.
A while back we did a 42" White Oak removal. Tree sat anywhere from 170' to 190' feet away. We used a 200 ton crane with full counter weight. Truck and weight came in at 250,000 lbs. 197' of main boom plus a 49' jib offset 15 degrees. At 180' crane was good for 10,000 lbs
Hello all, we are looking to rent a tracked knuckle boom lift for about a month or more. We are a little behind on our Holiday Lights Program. Let me know if anyone is interested. We are in the Chicago Land area, thanks.
I mis read the original post. Thought they were using rope. Extending the crane with the rigging ia always bad in many ways. The tip pf the crane needs to be over the center of the mass.
One thing to consider if you are using the crane for a rigging point and the rope is managed on the ground the crane could see double the force of the load plus dynamics.
