    Rope for hitch hiker

Thanks y'all. Guess I should have re-read above. Y'all had already posted that Voyager works well with the HH2. Nice pic Tex. He's been working Ddrt for a little while now I'll try to pay a pic later.

    Rope for hitch hiker

Ok I'm thinking about buyin.g a hitch hiker for both tree work and fun climbing. Will it work for my boy srt? He's 4'5" 70lbs. Also has anyone use Samson Voyager with the hitch hiker? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

Can you work srt with just a prussik??

WOW! I just switched from the Blake's to the Distel. I tried the VT but didn't like it. I might have to try again. I really thought the Distel caught better than the VT. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

You make a good point about the friction saver. I want to eventually move toward working off of SRT but for now I'm just gunna try to move toward ascending SRT and working/descending DRT. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

Can you work srt with just a prussik??

Z's Trees, in the past month or so I've been studying and playing with SRT with maybe 12 ft anchor point and climbing 3-4 ft off the ground, but TODAY I tried with an anchor at 40 ft and climbing 10 ft up. Wow! I didn't understand your rubber band comment about my arborplex 12 strand until...

Can you work srt with just a prussik??

Thank you rope-a-dope. I wasn't sure how to ease into it. My brother was my tree climbing go to expert but he's moving off and has zero srt experience. I wasn't sure it was ok to climb srt on a 12 stand arbor plex. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

What hitches are you referring to? I'm thinking if easing into SRT but WOW $$$$. To fully get into it I still need a friction device $160, a foot ascender $50, and a different climbing rope +$130. Since I'm only 160lb a SRT ascend/descend hitch would help till I can buy more gear. Sent from my...

    hitch hiker or rope wrench

So having a RW or HH is so the knot doesn't jam on descent from being over loaded? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk

    hitch hiker or rope wrench

I've been easing into climbing over the past few years as time and money will allow, both for recreation and for removals. I've been thinking of trying SRT but it requires a lot of equipment I don't have ($$$$). My question is why do you NEED something like the RW or the HH? Can you not just use...
