You see it as extreme confidence. I see it as unprofessional and a view into what someone would deal with if there is ever an issue after the sale. Everyone deals with customers who are a pain in the rear but most of us would not stay in business if we call them idiots, stupid and
I wish you...
I see nothing wrong with buying low and selling high. I buy stuff all the time just because it is a good deal. Some I keep but a lot I tend to flip for a profit.
What I don't understand is someone going on a public forum as a business owner with a piss poor attitude in front of the audience...
It all depends on what you are chipping and how the stuff you are loading is cut. To me palms take more space chipped. Best case you reduce 3 to 1 with the chipper vs grapple. They both have their place in my opinion.
I have rented one a few times when ours has been down. They have a fantastic travel speed from stump to stump. If you are doing small stuff it is nice but painful trying to do any large hardwoods.
My Vermeer rep had told us they did not yet have a gas option. There are two diesel options. We where quoted 79k for the John Deere 173 hp.
I can not justify spending an extra 30k for a diesel.
If you did it without discussing an additional charge with your customer you are going to have to eat that unless the customer asks how much extra for the debris removal when he goes to pay. Make sure you always point out any changes in the original estimate and explain the additional cost...
Would love to know how you come to those numbers.
Steve have you stayed with your original pricing schedule or have you altered it once you have seen what costs are vs projections? Care to share gross numbers with us?
