Felling giant trees dwelled by Shinto Gods. 40m tall 17 trees with 80t Crane.

Hello Treeple. I live in Japan running a treeservice company and channel called Hey Hey Ho channel, "Hey Hey Ho" is shouting words Japanese loggers used to yell in old days. I am sharing one movie. It is a documentary movie of 17 giant god trees dismantle project at Japanese Shinto Shrine. thanks.
Thank you for sharing this. It's an honor to be able to just watch this video. I love how much respect you guys have for trees in Japan. ありがとう

Arigato Will. It is believed that a god exists for everything in Shinto. To show the respect to the people who planted those trees 250 years ago, we have decided to use part of a log to repair the shrine. we are lumbering logs this year, dry them till the end of this year and repair the ceiling with help of Japanese shrine carpenter. I will make it into video as well.

That's really amazing. Thank you for letting me know about Shinto. I'm glad to see that you are repurposing the wood and using it to repair the temple.

Below is peice of wood that we saved from a job that ended up being curly maple. My brother who I work with is the wood worker of the family. He made this amazing charcuterie board for my mom's recent 60th birthday. It's not a god tree but I figured you might like to see the final product.

Unfortunately I can't figure out how to post the pictures so you will just have to take my word.
