No personal experience

Positive feedback I’ve heard is
Strong machine
Chip containment is phenomenal

Negative comments I’ve heard
Problematic

When I priced stumpers this year I know they were a lot cheaper than any other stumper hp vs hp

IMO that’s says something it’s self

We have one that came with a merger.

It was bought last year, and there’s been few issues with it. I can ask Brad for more details, the main thing I can think of right now is a leaking vent in a gear box, which the replacement was ordered yesterday or the day before.

I have read about the earlier versions having more issues and updates/revisions addressing issues and reliability improving.

We also have a Rayco RG80 and a RG165 on the way. We’ll be selling the SG75.

My dealer did give me a list of updates from past issues the have rectified which gave me confidence. What is the reason for selling the 75 and keeping the others. I’m sure you guys must like the raycos better or dealer support omis better? Hard for me cause modern equipment has always been good to me and they’re a bandit vendor close to me compared to other brands.

I have had experience with replacing the vent cap and can say it was an easy fix with no further issues. The machine does really well in my limited experience with other makes. We have a local bandit dealer which I’m sure also plays into our purchasing of equipment. We also use the sg40 which is a turd for anything of any size but nimble to sneak in for small stumps.

I try not to take too big a bite with either machine but the sg75 can be a bit more forgiving in that sense with the micro adjustments you can make with bump speed and the “auto feed” affect if a drop in rpm slows the swing.

rambling a bit…

Bottom line, we like the machine quite a bit.

No dealers here for anything anyways.

Basically, what does the SG75 do better for us than the RG80 or RG165? There’s a chance the 165 replaces the 75 and 80.

A place I worked for a while had one. I didn't use it much but was around it plenty: was a beast of a maschine but we had frequent problems with the track width adjustment, it would sometimes get jammed/not be able to use the full range. They never figured out the true silver bullet to fix this in the time I was there.

All good information and this helped!
I’m hoping for the best cause I pulled the trigger. I think they worked a lot of kinks in the first 3 or so years of production. I know I was very impressed with its performance during my demo. The newer electronic clutches were giving some issues I have herd, so I ordered the extended warranty package just in case as I’ve been advised one electronic clutch replacement exceed what that cost on an extended two year warranty would cost so what the hell, small insurance policy.

A gentleman named Dillion Harris runs a stump grinding business and runs a repair shop and has released a bunch of updates for these machines and others he’s on Facebook but seems like he’s has a great reputation it the repair world.

Unfortunately for me he’s in Lutz Florida so no service work for me but he stocks a lot of parts and has his own fixes for known problems with different types of machines.

Sick, congrats on the purchase. Don't take my previous comment as negative, mostly just a heads up to be proactive re maintenance of that area of the machine! Clean/grease/whatever you've got to do to ensure minimal headaches with that articulation.

It is my favorite grinder these days, by far. I used a first generation model, and it wasn’t quite as great - controls were jerky and really touchy, so you couldn’t do precision work with it and it tore lawns to bits, but the newer models are much better and I am confident it is the most productive model in its horsepower class.

What do you want to know about it? I’ll try to answer what I can for you.

Reach !!!! Your back !!! :)

We’ve only grinded 6 stumps in the past two days I’ve owned it totaling 1.5 hours or run time. Biggest oak stump we’ve done with it took ten minutes. So far it’s answering more questions than raising them lol. I’m very impressed!

I got the black color - figure that’s a good color for a piece of equipment that erases stumps from Mother Earth
Dirt shows well on that too so you know where to clean frequently lol

That machine really does fly through the stumps. I’m curious, which wheel/teeth did you choose? We use Greenteeth, which cut real fast, but also throw a few chips all over the neighborhood on occasion.

The black looks nice, but I don’t like black machines because black shows dirt too well.
