I have three trucks. This one is not the biggest one, 99 f550 3-ton chip truck. Used to be over 900 till last year. Received new bill today, 1400 a year. What do u guys say?

I'd shop around, but you'll probably just have to pay the bill and increase your rates. Or do what I do and tell people they can figure out what to do with the material after I leave, or pay a premium for disposal services. You probably shouldn't listen to me though, I am one of the least financially successful guys on here.

Absolutely shop around. They have no loyalty to you so you own them none. If you have a local agent you like, and they are an independent agent, ask they to explore options for you.

Not business...but our personal auto jumped by 70%. I asked the independent agent who we had been with for 20+ years if there were other options. They said "this company is usually the best". Never heard back, so I called 2 new agents (one independent, one State Farm) who both found quotes that were competitive with where we were before that big jump...and better coverage to boot.

Shop around.

We shopped around and saved 8k a year by telling our insurance company that we found cheaper prices last October.
But until then they claimed it was the best they can do until we ready to cancel and we’ve been with them close to 30 years.
Thx for all the great input. Yes last year I saved at least 2k with 7 personal vehicle coverage with the good neighbor company by simply asking.

sounds like you should keep telling them that every year

100% agree
We didn’t lie we shopped two other agencies. On a different note we had to shop health insurance because they discontinued our plan and you have to estimate your next year income? Crazy right well my wife made a mistake by 60k and she called to report it and because I made more money our plan went up by $400 a month!
Absolutely BS

Could you imagine if we, as an industry, required customer financials prior to doing the work and basing our sales off that?!

"Well Mr. Crud, it says here you made $317,000 last year, so that $400 quote will now be $3500."

Yeah...that's the ACA, not private insurance companies setting those rates. Just remember it's not a bill ANYBODY wanted. It's what we got stuck with because of procedure. Should have gone to conference committee, but Kennedy died and Democrats decided shove through what they had just to get "something" rather than clean it up and pass reforms that would be helpful. Not sure why either party hasn't take it back up...they have both had opportunities with both houses.

They’re all vampires too!
