Field Computers/Tablets

We upgraded to ArboGold this year. It's a wonderful product with a ton of features, but some of the mobile app features are limited. I'm not the most tech savvy, so my wife is helping me implement the system.

One thing she mentioned is the app doesn't have the full management capability the desktop version has. I need to get a new work computer anyways, so I'm trying to find a simple, tough computer that I can take pictures with on site to close the time lapse on our estimate process.

Needs from it are less OS oriented and more durability and camera oriented. We use windows OS. I've also never really used tablets, so I have no idea if they work the same as a computer or if I'd need a computer.

I know trees, not tech stuff. Lol. Our radio shack wasn't much help on figuring this out.

I use my kids IPad, and run jobber from it. I bought a Zagg keyboard and case that it’s very durable. Nearly like a tiny laptop. Probably similar to your Arborgold situation the mobile app sucks with jobber, using the browser is much better.

Downside is the iPad is Wi-Fi only without cellular data, and as you know my location is about 50/50 if there is even cell coverage so pen and paper is how I roll. But it does teather to my phone via Bluetooth so it will run off my cells data. If I had more consistent quality cell coverage I’d 100% get one with cellular data.
It’s great being able to bust out a rough draft of a report onsite!
