Echo chainsaw pants?

My local saw shop has some echo chainsaw pants, multiple sizes and we're on sale for $75. I thought about picking some up but I've not heard anything about them and would hate to buy something that is shite. I remember a whole thing about some discount chaps a few years back that wouldn't protect the users.

There is a disclaimer about electric saws on the site in regards to safety too. Didn't know if anyone knew anything about that. I don't run electric yet but I thought it was interesting.

I’m curious as well. It did say it met the astm specs for leg protection though. Granted, I didn’t read that particular astm spec.

My concern with the budget options I have looked at is that they are partially or totally polyester chainsaw protection. I don't see that lasting as long in fully functional as the fibers will self abrade faster than other materials with lower coefficients of friction, but that's purely conjecture at this point.
