WTB male ferrule for polesaw

Looking for a male ferrule if anyone has one or has a broken pole or attachment with a good ferrule.

Thanks,
Justin

I do not have one, but Gap Arborist Supply usually sells those, you should be able to order one from them to put on your pole.

I'm with Reach, just order them from Ray. I smashed one of my blue Jameson poles and it seemed like it the ferrule was glued onto the fiberglass. Had to chisel it out.

I've not ordered from GAP before although I've only heard good things from people who have.

I found the ferrule for $15.99 and decided to shop around to make an order worth placing instead of one cheap item. I ended up looking at crane slings, is this a typo on their premium sling vs the standard sling? Diameter, length and construction of the sling seems to be identical apart from the rope choice; but there is a $169 price difference between the two. $78.95 for Stable braid and $247.95 for Yale Maxibraid Plus. Granted I dont know anything about the Yale, but Stable braid is a known quality choice. Just seems like an odd price difference. Screenshot_20221130-211431_Samsung Internet.jpg

That is not a typo, the Maxibraid rope has a Dyneema core with a cover that is largely there to protect the Dyneema from abrasion.. The working load limit on those slings is somewhere around 12,000 pounds each, if I remember correctly. They are slings that are strong enough you’ll never break them, and you don’t really have to worry about load limits, which is why people like them.

Thanks for that info. I tried searching on their site and Google and I couldn't find any info on the Yale. 12,000lbs WLL is pretty impressive for a 5/8

Give Ray a call at Gap Arborist, he can tell you the exact numbers for that rope.

We have some 3/4” Ultrex slings, they’re rated at a 15k working load, 75k ABS. They fuzz too easily though, they will be replaced with Maxibraid when they wear out.
