I live in southern New Jersey, just wondering how big these tree get in my tri state area, I’d love to see a big one if someone knows of one in my region .There are a handful of them about 60 miles northwest of me that I came across. They were 50-65’ tall in stellar condition and freaking awesome looking.

Arnold Arboretum, Boston Massachusetts has a "big" one and a fair number of smaller ones. A small tree by Sierra Nevada home territory sequoia standards but decent girth for an east coast tree. In Massachusetts they can suffer winter top die-back. The Arboretum sequoia has a gumdrop shaped crown with what looks like a Christmas tree growing out of the top ;-)

Thank you! Next time I’m in New England I’ll check it out!
If you look on their web site most if not all of their trees are mapped and you can easily find their biggest sequoia. They use that tree for introducing staff and interns to tree climbing technique from time-to-time, or at least they used to. The place has changed a lot in the 30+ years I've roamed the property.

This is not their interactive map, simply a flat PDF but the sequoia is located just north of the label "Hemlock Hill Road" on the eastern edge of the "Pines" section label and just west of the "Yews" label on the map. Roughly midway between Bussey Hill to the north and Peters Hill to the south.

Thanks @moss I was just checking out the website. Id heard of the Arnold Arboretum but knew little about it. Looks like an awesome detour to make next time I’m up that way.
