The elastic belly band that keeps it from falling down while adjusting the buckles and placement of everything is a good addition. My Ergovations have that too, I’m definitely a fan.

The different sizes is long overdue, there’s some bigger waist climbers out there that have never been able to try a TreeMotion.

Do you use that ring in a fall arrest scenario? Or is it for aerial rescue scenarios? Or something else?
Mostly I use it to hold my saw actually, a ring is way easier to clip on and off of than that loop would be I've definitely been in situations where if I would've had a lanyard to use for it would've made my work positioning a lot easier.

Well, there’s always petzl’s open O or other similar rings that can be added after the fact. I thought it was the life load aspect of that ring that might have been important to you.. I guess I’ve always just wondered if anyone really used the back ring for a life load purpose.

I do like the life support option, even if it's not something you would use all the time having it is a good thing imo, I don't see why they wouldn't keep it at the same price point as the evolution and almost 200$ more than the 2018.

While I would never use that on a normal basis, it seems to me it would be quite handy in a rescue situation, to give an additional option to secure someone who needs to be lowered from a tree. Whether that person becomes incapacitated and it is simply easier to hook them up and lower them from behind, or some portion of the harness has been compromised and a different point of attachment as needed, I think having an additional option is a good thing.

The less cluttered back-pad layout, the new leg-pad bungee setup, the ability to use 2 rope bridges, and the addition of suspender loops are all positive changes in my book. I am also gonna trust that Teufelberger will continuing using high quality hardware on the TreeMo. Can't wait to fly the new Essential!

All good points.

I do wish the backpad didnt have their new “bumper pad”. I set up mine with gear loops all the way at the top. Also, I like to have the little loop up top too. Its wet where Im at and nice to be able to hang my harness from there.

I know people will grumble about the lack of compression straps for a first aid kit but I think this backpad allows for a more low profile setup. Maybe using the old bungee leg straps?

I have flown a lot of saddles in my life and have yet to meet the perfect saddle, but the TreeMo S.light has come the closest..The new Essential seems to fix a few of the small issues that I had with the S.light...We shall see?

The Treemotion essential looks like a nice harness and might actually be an improvement over the S. Light. Not sure I need anything more than what the S.light has to offer.

Great fit for me already, tried using a double bridge and didn't really care for it and I have my leg pads attached to the waist belt with the bungee running through a small harken micro pulley that allows full and independent articulation of the leg pads.

The S.light feels like an old friend and while I will use multiple ascenders as the mood strikes, that is hard to do with a harness.

Ive got hope for it. I loved my s.light. On a 2018 treemo now. Great harness but still
Find myself missing my light. Esp with the double bridge option, Im looking forward to running one.
