Been here a while
For years now glucosamine, chondroitin & MSM, wild salmon oil pill and an orange a day. After a big work session or middles in a soccer tourney, (people will hate this) some ibuprofen to keep inflammation down (but not a steady diet of it). Stay away from all sports drinks - after a thrash session - chocolate milk or even plain milk and lots of water. Eat healthy and don't smoke - everything in moderation. Daily stretching, especially achilles helps wonders as one gets on in years.I would highly recommend glucosamine, chondroitin, & MSM you can find it all in one as a pill, powder or liquid for joint health. Plus fermented cod liver oil for joints as well, bonus it’s good for brain health too! Last thing, trace minerals power paks year round for electrolytes, all the good stuff you need w/o the bad, like sugar, dyes, etc.
Something folks haven't mentioned above is the importance of keeping your lungs healthy - use respirators if doing dusty work or working with chemicals or paints or insulation, etc. Can't beat carrying a good set of healthy pink flexible lung tissues into old age. Good sunglasses and even sunscreen with uv block. Look after your choppers too - later on sore bleeding gums are a major source of inflammation and a spiral downwards in a lot of patients. Oh and don't forget to laugh with your kids and grandkids daily. Good thread. Cheers.
