After I noticed mine I contacted Teufelberger and asked
"how much milking would be considered normal for a 150' 1 sewn eye Drenaline?"
and received
"Hello, 1.2% by regulation. 0.80% for Teufelberger quality standard if the sewn eye was made by us"

Thats pretty milky... I'm pissed that I got two sewn eyes, I asked if it was a milky line and if it was please put the other sewn splice on the marlow vega.... I axed both eyes, and have about 12" of milk so far, and a little more today...

Have you talked to the supplier? If I were you I would just shoot Teufelberger a message with your specific case and see what they say...

Pulled my Drenaline out again and ran it with my Akimbo. Only worked the top 40 or so feet and ran the device the length of the rope. It milked out about another foot.
Not loving it...

Definitely not a foot. I get some minor cover bunching when it's on a wrench and hitch but it seems to settle back in along the length of the rope. The wrench sure doesn't give me a foot of empty cover

I've milked over 2m off my 60m length so far. After milking, the twisted parallel core strands are bunching up inside. Ive had two large climbs on this line and it's bagged horribly. The bunching core strands stopped me dead on it on the akimbo. I've emailed teufelberger. I would never expect this from a brand new climbing line. I've a 100m length of sterling workpro, kernmantle, and it doesn't suffer the issues that the drenaline has.
This honestly belongs in the bin. So disappointed by this line.

Interested on what they will say. I’ve bagged the rope and haven’t used it much. I actually thought I lost it but found it in the back corner of the tool box.

My Akimbo still leaks on my Drenaline, even after being washed and broken in. I have since switched it to a wrench only line which it performs fantastically as.
Please update with what they say! I have had over 2 feet milk off mine

No reply yet but i have noticed several core strands pulling out of the salice and traveling about a ft+ down the line after milking.
I didnt have much faith in the salice method and now i have none.

Weird to climb on a rope with bounce after HTP.
I climb yale 11.7. No fucking bounce easy on the hand and ties nknots easily. Hitches with wrench run like glass.

I got a reply from teufelberger
They are very aware that the akimbo essentially fucks drenaline. They have no control over what rock exotica say is an approved rope. Despite how damaging the akimbo is to the drenaline in actual use, rock exotica seem to be fine approving it for use because it seemingly clears load testing. There was no comment on the core strands pulling out of the salice. They're replacing my drenaline with a length of xtatic which they haven't had reports of the akimbo negatively affecting. Although i havent heard anything back once i gave them my shipping details so it'll be interesting to see if they actually follow through. They did seem to agree to replacing my rope a bit begrudgingly, replies quickly turned into one word scentences without any formality such as a hello.
Assuming that they might not keep their word and replace my drenaline I've cut the salice off, it had three core strands pull out of it from use, i pulled the core strands taught from both ends to try and get rid of the horrid lumps, milked it both ways and sealed the ends. It's somewhat useable now, still has lumps but they at least don't stop me dead on decent leaving me stranded.
Again, really quite disappointing, after looking at the core strands they seem to be excessively twisted, more so than any kernmantle cordage i've had apart. I'm guessing this is the reason why the lumps form and why it has so much bounce along with why it milks so much. Given xtatic is well...more static I'm amssuming the core strands are less twisted and won't suffer the issues drenaline has.

This is good info, though... I've got my DrenaLINE on a DdRT setup with a ZigZag, which is actually what I bought it for, but I was going to give it a shot SRT... don't think I'll bother, now.
If you get the XStatic, let us know how that one does. It's another one I haven't tried.

Same here... I like the rope, kinda bouncy for my taste.. I'd say the rope isn't destroyed, but I also cut the sewn splices pretty early on. I'd guess I've used it for about a dozen up and down conifer climbs. guess I should give it up with the akimbo and use it for other devices.
ha YES!!! I thought it was just me but I also find this rope really bouncy....too much so.
I’ve milked a metre off a 45m hank and also notice bunching which slows my ZigZag.
Better since washing but I’m also disappointed with this rope and look forward to replacing it with Cousin Trestec Atrax .
It’s also a dreadful colour for seeing in the tree/on the ground for my older eyes !!
