I've only climbed a couple of times with mine and so far, it doesn't slacken or move around. But the straps are a challenge to tighten as well. Maybe because they are news. Speaking of which, the straps seems a little skinny for the task. And the Y-shape strap that runs under your foot is a little too long for my small feet - the Y-junction ends up under my foot and so the protective sleeve is partially under my boot and partially up the side. It works well on the rope, and kicks out nicely enough, but not too easily, and is easy to slip back on the rope. Tends well off the ground after the first or second step.
