Which to choose? Mini Skid Steer

I'm not sure how or why you have a problem with me? I have done only what you asked? I provided proof to backup what I said.
Also.. I started out with ALL toro equipment. I had a 323 wheeled...a 413 tracked, a 420, and then another 420..
I loved them...when I got them....then I started asking way too much of them on a daily basis...ie: run a snowblower attachment on aprox 7 miles of sidewalks.. was breaking the dingos left and right...bought a Bobcat s70 with a blower then a mt52 with a blower ...way way way more heavy duty...
Attachments are ALOT more heavy duty also...so I eventually sold all of my dingo stuff little by little until I have 1 attachment left now and i cut off the plate and welded on the mt plate.
Was pissed at the time that bobcat didn't have the same plate as the rest of the industry, but I got over it, and now of course they do offer the cii or toro style Plate...
And yes I do run a saw from time to time. :)View attachment 42582View attachment 42583
Hey I know you! Well kinda anyway. I called about 6 or 7 times over probably a 6 month period about the bmg you had on Craigslist. I never once got call back. What gives?

IMG_2343.webp IMG_2344.webp I know most of you guys are tree guys or landscapers I'll let pics say my opinion on my antique bobcat mt 50. This took an hour and 45 minutes. 20' x 10' with 14" thickened edge.

Now that is my kinda work!!!
I had a mt50.. good machine.. very reliable but slow and underpowered. .I got a mt52.
See that's the thing the bobcat is very very RELIABLE and the power on the mt50/ mt52 is barley adequate for running the machine. Try running the power broom and running the machine forward not gonna happen. If the bobcat had 35hp it would be perfect. .I don't care, charge 5k more I would gladly pay it to have 50% more power. The machine would be PERFECT then. I know that there are additional emissions when at or above 25.1 hp but everybody else has come to the plate with 30+ hp bobcat needs to also to compete.

I have never had an issue with power and for a walk behind the speed is fine if your only 5'6. I can see where a guy 6' + might have an issue with speed. I would love to try the new mt 85. Drove the new toro 1000 speed is great ride on a plus but I can see where durability is going to be an issue. Wondering if the fact I put a catalytic converter in place of muffler has helped the power?

View attachment 43030 Due to not wanting to haul sand out and needing more fill most of it was hand work. 3 hours. Finished product. Original removed because it was falling away from house
Great work...looks perfect. Very professional. Hope you got paid top dollar and made some good profit on that job. You do great work!

Do you know what was the cause of the other one pulling away from the house? I see a retaining wall below. Was that failing and the ground shifting?

Retaining wall failing and freezing and thawing. I put threee 12" sono tube footings under front edge to keep it from moving. Retaining wall was also replaced

I originally posted the pics so people could see the durability of the bobcat. That was the first time I put a hydro hammer on it I was so amazed it was just like it was on a regular skid. The old concrete had wire mesh in it an absolute night mare to tear out without hydraulics. There are a lot of quality machines out there if you are looking for durability and will take time to clean track drives you should be happy. Only issues were pump drive seals have been replaced over 12 years of ownership. 700 hours of operation. Only spun track off once. I check adjustments semi regularly. This has been a great machine. I can't judge others except by sight and having some steel structure knowledge. I did drive toro 1000 speed is nice however my concern would be durability. I wish all the very blessed as you search for one for your needs. Thank you for the compliments.

See that is what I'm talking about! The bobcat is I believe the most durable mini skid out there, heaviest built..but underpowered.
I had a mt50 and I believe it gets a bad wrap..very decent machine, better than a gas toro, but just has trouble running a hydraulic attachment and moving more than 2 mph. Harley rake or power sweeper brings the mt50 or mt52 to its knees. The hydraulic breaker on the other hand is a match made in heaven on the mt50 / mt52 super stout!
