TreeStuff and SherrillTree Join Forces

I don't think that this has much to do with Treestuff. This has been going on between Michael and Richard for some time now and I'm guessing lawyers are well involved at this point.
 
I'm I'm getting calls from members of the Atlanta tree climbing Club asking what happened to the 10% discount we used to get at TreeStuff.

" TreeStuffdenied my ATCC coupon today. They said that it was no longer
valid. What are others experiencing? I told them that we really valued
it and we were going to miss not having it.

As Pres, do you want to check on what is going on?"
 
Mom and Pop no more...when I started climbing I knew nothing about arb suppliers and was directed to Sherrill but that went south really quickly....to long to describe here ...I went to Wesspur and had years of good service...then I was directed to treestuff by Cary Gibson and had years of great service....who knows things change ....change sometimes is good...only time will tell....nothing wrong with continued support of treestuff..I never got as much discount at wesspur and never felt hard done by...so if I don't get big discounts and freebies anymore from treestuff it really won't be an issue...they stock great product which appeals to me...money is not the end all...service and product variety is to me....

Other discounts have disappeared too...
 
Well seems like Sherrills magic is in play already, Ropetek tried to order stuff today from Treestuff and they won't answer their phone or emails, never before has this happened. Time to call someone else or take it from good ol corporate America
 
Well. I guess "treestuff will stay treestuff" didn't last too long. Even though they're minor changes.. they're still changes. Everything starts small. This is disheartening.

Michael has an issued patent. The patent does not give his device any protection, and it does not give him the rights to do anything. A patent only allows you to prevent someone else from doing what is claimed in your patent. So, in other words, the patent only allows him to prevent others from selling the device that is described in his patent.

Alright, thank you. That was my understanding of patent law.
However.. you are not producing/selling the HAAS, and calling it a SAKA, so I don't understand the issue the distributor has. My personal opinion is that the SAKA is of superior design.

I wish you all the luck in the world, Richard. I'm sure however, you won't need it. Keep up with the videos yoyoman!

#edit: I'm a couple years in still trying to figure out your mechanical advantage one! Relativity and all that!! Gaaaah!

I'm quoting yoyman's post here, but will be responding to a few others as well. I checked in with Carson over at TreeStuff on these issues and he told me the ATCC code is still active in their system. I don't know why it didn't work, or why someone told them it wasn't valid, but the good news is that it IS valid.

JustinK mentioned a code not working, but Carson also said that none of their discount codes have been turned off. I don't know which code Justin was talking about, but it should should still work, no matter which one it is.

As for Paul/RopeTek, Carson said Luke received your email around noon and is in the middle of typing a response. I asked about their phone volume today and Carson said it was normal. I don't have an answer as to why no one answered Paul's call(s).

I absolutely don't mind addressing these questions. I know you all are concerned, and I understand completely. Please feel free to post here, or contact me via PM.

Richard the code is still working fine. We have checked it and tested it. I am emailing you separately to confirm.

It's the same staff here answering phones. Just busy!
