\"You guys dont make enough!\"
Had my brother come help me rig down this ugly sugar maple with no top on it this afternoon. Took alot longer than I anticipated, but I also was attempting to walk out of there without breaking anything. I snapped 2 twigs on a newly planted holly.
I'll take it though!
After 9 hours on site, maple on the ground, brush stacked, and most of the wood bucked to firewood length, save for the butt log and some small stuff, started limbing this big ugly pine I have to attend to next week. All with my younger brother with zero chainsaw experience and very little rigging/groundie experience which he got with me earlier this year. I went up and down the maple 5 times as I was chainsaw groundie guy, climber, and coordinating his every move lowering stuff from up in the tree. Exhaustive to say the least!
By 4pm he was visibly running on fumes and dragging pretty good. My fave line from him of the day was "I have no idea what you guys get paid, but its not nearly enough!"
PS. Just picked up a Husky 346xp, and I'm in love with my chainsaws all over again <3 <3 <3
