Yelp

Here's something to also bear in mind in using Yelp and other online reviews that I have learned in the field of websites and social media:
1. Having a lot of reviews, whether good or bad, drives traffic to your website. Google doesn't care if the reviews are horrible or stellar. More reviews means more engagement from customers to them so that is a plus in search engine ranking. Lemonade out of lemons.
2. If you do set up a presence on these services, you should be prepared to reply to a bad review even if it means saying something you are afraid you'll gag and choke on, such as "We are sorry about your experience with us and we'd like you to give our office a call and we will see what we can do to make your experience of our services better." If the customer is a real dog-pile, he/she probably won't bother HOWEVER, you have had the last word and a positive one at that which could make a better customer think "I want to work with this company."

Yelp does not touch reviews unless they use inappropriate language and it is reported to yelp.

Yelp! hides reviews. Plain and simple. I have experienced it myself. I had a four star rating and now all of my good reviews are hidden IMO because I have refused to use their advertising. Within a month of me telling them to quit calling my office my good reviews were hidden. They have been sued for extortion many times and there is currently a class action against them. If you care to look at Yelp's own site they have a one star rating because of over 4,000 small biz owners with my same experience. See-
