When cutting down a tree goes up

Cool...but why? Especially that 1st one. Looked like plenty of access. In the hills there was no other access...but why did that material need to be removed? My only guess is fuel reduction in an area where prescribed burning is not acceptable??? But at a few grand per hour it seems like an odd choice of tools. Helicopter logging is generally reserved for high dollar logs in otherwise inaccessible areas. Often the cutting is done before the helo shows up, cables are set on the logs then when it is there the hookers run from log to log throwing a loop on the hook and running.

Probably because that was a convenient location to stage and film a promotional video.
