When are these going to hit our job sites?

Been here a while

Or maybe Hilti’s version?

I’ve been doing a bunch of fuels reduction at my place and spending a ton of time limbing up fir trees. Something like this to take some of the weight of the saw over the course of the day would be nice.

Darpa has supported exoskeletons for over 20 years. Shoulder supporting is a neat subset application.

effing auto correct 3 in one sentence!!!! effffff!!! even changed effff to effacing.. then to pfff.!

Or maybe Hilti’s version?

huh that one is neat, doesnt seem to be battery powered but instead uses a cable/pulley system like a compound bow to make a sort of power curve of support for the arms as you raise them. the number one ergonomic rule about working above your shoulders being 'dont', but for those who have to do so at length this is an interesting device

funny how it makes everyone wearing it walk around like tom hardy though

I’ve been thinking that it probably restricts your movement but maybe in a positive way. Maybe it makes you move more ergonomically? Less awkward movements?
i think it really is just some mechanical advantage strapped to your biceps when your arms are raised. i was looking at their videos about how to wear and adjust it and they say its properly adjusted when it doesnt quite counteract the force of gravity allowing your arms to fall to your sides. i bet wearing it feels like doing that thing when you're a kid where you stand in a doorframe and press the back of your hands into the sides as hard as you can for twenty seconds and then step forward and its like your arms are levitating. haha
