What tree is this?

Hi, this tree always comes into full foliage long before any other, save for flowering trees like magnolia, in mid April. I am in Connecticut. Curious what it is.

Looks like it could be a river birch. Closer photos of bark and leaves would be a definite help. Looking again it may also be a Catsura.

Thanks, I think catsura seems pretty likely. I can try to get a closer photo without crashing my drone. It's not on my property.

Ok, I got close up pics and it is definitely Katsura.

Been a while since I have given Katsura even a passing thought. This one is an awesome tree. Might want to measure it for state record status.
