What is the biggest chipper out there?

Hey yall!

Does anyone know a larger capacity chipper than the vermeer 2100xl? It can take 21 inches, but it cost like 145K or somthing super expensive.

I heard there was some other brand makeing a 30 or 36 inch.

supposidly it was a regular hand-fed type and not a tub, or whole tree semi-truck type.

does anyone know about the machine?

supposidly it was like a cone head or woodsman or somthing.

thanks

Capacity is 20"X36". We run them and love them! Nothing chips faster. The 2100 is built better, quality wise, but no grapple.......:(

I think the 790 is the new 18xx?? We used a 18xx for a job one day. It had a rigid conveyor on the back. We filled our chip truck in 20 minutes. from first chip to last chip. We feed it with a 257b skid steer, white pine. It was a beast. It was red and I believe went to new England(maybe Boston bull has it?) It was awesome that day, way bigger than what we needed, but it got the job done fast.

If you like all the dust that blows out the infeed into your face. Chips good...I just don't care for the dust in my face, especially when sweaty.

I find structurally they are probably the best, they chip really well because of the head design which also helps the knives last longer. Ours had a few problems with wiring and bad hose routing, but I think they have improved on that, ours was the first 550 off the line when ConeHead was just starting up.
