What is killing the English Walnuts in PA?

Almost every Juglans regia I see is suffering...I am in Eastern PA. Why are they all dying? Is it the usual diseases or is there an epidemic hitting our area. I am aware of the TCD the Black Walnuts are fighting, but in the past few years I have seen a substantial number of English Walnuts dying out.

Just trying to keep up with all of this...seems like everything is dying from something.

Thanks!

English walnut is a host of Thousand Canker Disease and the Hickory Twig Beetle vector. I haven't heard of it in PA, but I may be out of touch. Several good researchers in the US Forest Service and elsewhere are working on TCD. Have you checked with the Extension folks at Penn State or at the Morris Arboretum (University of Pennsylvania)? I'd start there.

Thanks for the responses. I wasn't sure about the TCD.
I will check with penn state and Morris Arboretum. Thanks.

Thanks for that other link.
