An exciting five-day school for those interested in the fundamentals of
tree climbing and maintenance. Classroom and fieldwork include
safety/safe climbing practice, equipment/use of hand tools, tree
terminology, tree disease and insect diagnosis, culture and pruning,
tree removal and knots. Limited space available.
Sponsored by Penn State Cooperative Extension, the Penn Del Chapter of
ISA, and Pennsylvania Community Forests.

I took a look at the registration info figuring that Kris Edson would be one of the instructors. He is a good friend of mine and one of the best in PA. Jim Savage is also a good friend and between the two, it should be an awesome class and well worth the price for a beginning student climber. I wouldn't hesitate to send someone to it. If they even have a little bit of committment to the industry, they will come away fully charged up.
