Weekend work in Chicago

Too bad about the Olympic bid...
Have you considered putting an ad
in a local paper down there ?
Similar to what you posted above;
it might be worth a shot...
There is also Treekeepers but I
don't think you get paid for that.

Sorry you haven't heard from TMA yet, I wish I could help you out more. I'll keep my eyes open to see if I could forward you something.

I haven't heard anything. I went out and got a part time job at Hobby Lobby today...retail...*shudders* I wonder how long it'll be before I get H1N1. Want to make wagers?

Hobby Lobby ?
I was just in there the other day ( no really ).
For years I have collected pencils from all of
the golf courses I have played. I wanted a wooden
board so I could glue the pencils onto it to
display them. Now that I read this , I could see
where it seems a bit strange. Oh well; if the shoe fits...
Good luck, it could be fun.
Yeah TMA said they would do call screening this week.
I sure hope they call. I don't want to e-mail them
again...

Yep Hobby Lobby, this'll be the third time I've worked for them over the years (once in Athens, GA and then in Davenport, IA). I've worked in their frame shop and in their floral department. If they didn't throw Christianity in your face so much I'd probably like the company as a whole a little more. Oh well, gotta pay the bills and I get a discount

I really hope you hear from TMA.

Sure, I'll 'turn the other cheek '.
Why, I'll have a knuckle sandwich for lunch...
Is this punch spiked ?
I'm punchdrunk..
OK OK Ive worn that out,
I think I'll punchout now...

Hey Tree-D
We're obviously dealing with a serial puncher !!
My wife is from Canada...(Iroquois Falls,Ontario)
Her family moved down to Wisconsin to get to
a warmer climate !?!?

TNT, oh YA we DO have a serial puncher in the mix. She also runs a wicked air knife, I THINK she might have been practicing for Thanksgiving! I wonder IF she cooks.

WARMER in WI. Brrrr the thought! Last time I checked the NW breeze off the lakes made that part of the world, umm, interesting for weather.

I wonder IF RBS walks with a LEAN, for livin' in the WINDY City?

Probably not yet--hasn't been there long enough.
Strangely enough Chicago is called 'the windy city'
because of all of the 'hot air ' the politicians
emit ! and there's plenty of it.
What part of Canada do you hail from ?

The windy part, third hill east of the Alberta/Saskatchewan border!

I told Ed Gilman that I came from the place I could watch my dog run away for 3 days, AND STILL make more money doing tree work than farming!

I am SE of a little village called Richlea, SK.

I find it hard to believe that finding some weekend tree work is THAT difficult. I think RBS has a lot of thought talent, possibly a little short in her confidence as a climber! I say market your skills for your own benefit, you probably don't need a supervising company to take the gravey!

There is a lot of GOOD money to be made doing light pruning jobs. It doesn't have to be equipment intensive, it is as much marketing yourself as it is working! Even IF you only do 2 light prunes a day you are WAY ahead of punchin' the part-time clock, AND your doin' something you LUV!

You also won't be subjecting yourself to the public as much, so the chances of contracting H1N1 are also a factor!!!

Re; the H1N1; She could make her own Halloween mask
at Hobby Lobby and have a surgical mask underneath it !
Problem solved... at least until Oct 31st.

So do you have moose(and squirrel)walking up
and down your streets ? My wife did in Iroquois
Falls...

I knocked down a deer yesterday at 130 yds,
with a 12 gauge. After about 10 minutes , it got
up and took off. Not enough blood to trail it.
Bummer dude.

Take it easy.

Yup there are barren ground swamp donkeys here, speed goats, and 2 species of deer. Upland game is suffering because of the winters, and the flight path for migratory birds has moved.

As far as tree varmits, the only thing we encounter are bats! RRRRR I hate havin' a bat fly out of a crotch as I am moving by it! There aren't any squirrels or other cool tree dwellers here!

Shame about the deer! I assume you are using slugs!

Yes ; slugs
It was a little 4 day 'doe only' hunt,
so of course yesterday eve a nice buck
walks right by my treestand. Typical.
My squirrel reference was a Rocky and
Bullwinkle joke. They DO have cartoons
up there don't they? That one WAS from
a long time ago.
