Hey gang. I just recently converted my Weaver Cougar saddle to a rope bridge saddle with rigging plates -- many call this the "liger" mod. I decided to go with 1/2" Samson for the rope, and Rock Exotica Tri-rig rigging plates. Below is a video of me doing the mod to my saddle.

I like the modification so far. it does change the balance point - for me, it brings my legs up, and my chest more back. At first, I found myself leaning forward to compensate, so there's that to get used to. Maybe adjusting the leg straps would help with this.

What I really like is my choice in swivels. The DMM Focus Swivel L is a perfect choice for a saddle swivel. It is PPE rated, it can fit two carabiners in the top shackle, and it is the lightest choice, it's only 2.5oz. Which means when you're unhooked on the ground and it's swinging from the bridge, it's not gonna whack the boys in pain!

Check out the video. Thanks for the support!
