Arborists​

Arborists are key players in the Almstead Family. Our arborists are distinguished by the depth
of their tree and plant health care knowledge. They are experts in their field and will be called upon
year round by affluent homeowners and commercial property managers who are seeking a detailed understanding of the trees and shrubs on their property. From designing and implementing tree and shrub preservation regimens, to determining pruning classifications and evaluating soil conditions, there is no “typical” day for the Arborists. They are constantly challenged to perform to the best of their abilities in one of the most lucrative markets in the country. We provide full marketing and administrative support as well as state of the art equipment. Responsibilities:
Ensure highest level of customer care is provided
Set up personal sales expectations with Branch Managers
Provide written work estimates on site to clients
Negotiate contract and bid proposals for residential and commercial customers
Establish strong customer relations and resolve customer complaints
Develop and implement Tree Management Plans & Plant Health Care programs
Educate new/potential customers on features/benefits of services provided
Continually prospect for new business - Manage account receivable collections
Maintain safe and controlled work place and environment
Provide management and leadership to production crews
Enforce company safety and training policies

Requirements: Two/four year degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Floriculture, Environment Sciences, Biological Sciences or Business/Marketing. Minimum 5-7 years industry experience would also qualify. Excellent technical, selling and communication skills are essential. Trainees highly encouraged to apply. Certain positions require previous tree care sales experience and ISA certification.
Experience required: 3 years
