I concur with everything you've said here.. but going off that same theory, you wanna know what's wild?Bailout isn’t stiff because of the way it is braided, both the cover and core
The difference in strength is more due to the type of construction of the cord, than the materials, polyester is weaker than technora. I guess the longer the braids the stronger it is, due to fewer and not as sharp of bends. The Bailout is a double braid, while Icetail is a single braid, also.

Nevermind.. I'm just going to delete this comparison.. totally had the wrong product in mind.
I will say this though.. i wish manufacturers would list breaking strengths for both cover & core + the obvious normal completed cordage. I feel alot of these cordages have useful characteristics beyond just the core & cover together.. I know you mix & match things quite often Brock. This would indeed be helpful.
