Viltom Extreme Raptor review

My Boss got a couple pair's of the Viltom Extreme Raptor chainsaw pants to demo. I dont believe they are for sale in the U.s. yet but they plan to be . Anyway's they are very comfortable pant's climbing in but I only got 5 days out of them before the in seams stared popping out around the knee . I then noticed the in seam is only cheap single stitch . So now I have to pay $60 to a seamstress to fix it cause the lining is in the way . Its not that big of a deal to me cause I got em for free but If I would have paid $489 for them like they plan to sell them for I would be heated ! Just a heads up

Thanks for the heads up, welcome to the Buzz, and NICE avatar. I have the same photo all framed up. The men in that photo were trying to physically manage a Gypsy Moth infestation. Apparently it was unsuccessful...

Hey! I'm not trying to hijack the thread here, but I recently started working for my Uncle's company Viltom Extreme, which make the Raptor Chainsaw Pants and Gear. I am reaching out to the community to better understand the needs of the logger and the forester. We have new products that are launching in the US, which are stronger and more affordable, and more protective. The European legislation requires that chainsaw protective gear meets the EN-381-5, which will stop a chainsaw going 3937 feet/min. The US standard ASTM-F1897 is 2750 feet/min. We have been tweaking this product for years, and have come up with something stronger(no more popping inseams), and more affordable (will retail around $199). This will include shipping and repairs/replacement if necessary. I appreciate any feedback and input. Thanks! Vanessa.
