Vermeer BC 1500 - vs - Rhino

Location
SO-CAL
We hve been working out in one of our large compound area ( South Africa ) removing dead wood from some old sycamore trees and this was our ground crew for the day ... A Southern White Rhino ( Rhinocerotidae sp : simon )

The white rhino has a mild and inoffensive personality compared to the black rhino. They are very curious and tend to move away from conflict rather than confront it with attack. Sometimes a mock charge will take place to scare off intruders. Most people view the white rhino as a slow lumbering animal, however, they can turn 180 degrees at the blink of an eye and when necessary can run remarkably fast, but not for long periods of time. It can also throw its head up from the normal grazing position very quickly. The mass of powerful muscles forming the hump above the shoulders allows for this quick movement.

I sent some pic to the guys from Vermeer here in town , all the debris that falls on the ground we usually chipped the next day except for the palm trees material we pick that right away...

Wow those are great pictures! Do the animals cause you any trouble? I bet a troupe of monkeys could give you a few headaches while climbing. Whatever you do, don't let them get their hands on a chainsaw.

I must say if you were running a tote I would back the Rhino over the Vermeer any day. Now a bandit that's a different thing.....

Great pics. Thanks for posting them, but I can't look at a rhino like that w/ out thinking Jim Carrey is gonna come crawling out of his rear, naked. (Pet Detective) Funniest cinematic scene ever!
