Urban Forestry Board mission statement

Hi,

Our local (City of Austin) UFB is in the process of developing a management plan for the urban forest. We are at a point where we need a vision statement/mission statement/goal statement.

Does anyone have some examples? I plan to dive in and come up with my own version so I won't be overly influenced by others' ideas before I think through my own, but after that I'd like to compare and contrast to see what others have included that I might leave out.

I also welcome any partial ideas you may have of something that should be included in such a statement.

I like the term Stewardship. Example: Provide the best stewardship of our Urban Forest.Maybe as a goal.
