After just a quick view of that rather sketchy video I'd say this "Unicender" looks like a cool gadget, asuming it performs well under our regular working conditions, as Jamin_Mayer mentioned above.
It's still going to take a slick device to get me off the rope prussiks... what would I do with all my free time if I no longer needed to splice and try out different cordage? Well, I supose I'd try having a life after work...
