Uni as lanyard adjuster?

Trying to get feedback on a unicender as lanyard adjuster. I put a quickie as my lanyard termination, which it turns out is the shit, and now SRT lanyard 95% of the time. I currently use a sticht which I love dearly but I’m looking for even better nice low-sitback mechanical tending. I like the idea of the uni as it has the MRS attachment point on it which I would occasionally use as well. But the descent aspect of the device confuses me. Could I do short adjustments in control mode SRT at all or would it be too jerky? Is there a better SRT capable device to use as lanyard adjuster? I tried a traditional hitch which works fine but I can’t find the sweet spot.

Both the Mad rock Safeguard and the Akimbo work better as lanyard adjusters than the Uni though neither has the dedicated doubled rope attachment point like the Uni.

Zillon is great and super smooth both ways, just no Mrs attachment.
I've toyed around around with what your trying to do with my lanyards and have found a hitch cord ona pinto to be best. If 8mm binds up on you, you can fit 9mm and some 10mm hitch cords inside the cheek plates but you may just need to cut off the plastic cover they put over the stitches.

If I'm worried about sap then I slide on the Zillon or ARTpositioner, I favor the zillon bc in SRT Mode it is much smoother and easier to move than the positioner

I never used a uni or akimbo but I see lots of guys like using the akimbo for this...very expensive options if you ask me.
The beauty of the pinto is that you can use it for other things if you happen to need to.

The pinto! Seems to orient the hitch just so for tending. Haven’t used it for so long on my lanyard I forgot about it.
