Um... Well, that's one way to do it.

Re: Um... Well, that\'s one way to do it.

Wonder what happened on Day 3! Could you imagine being that guys ground guy. I'd be doing naked snow angels while drifting slowing insane!!!

Re: Um... Well, that\'s one way to do it.

OMG this is almost on the level of the American Tree Service vids! God bless you for sifting through youtube to bring these moments of utter hilarity to me.

Re: Um... Well, that\'s one way to do it.

18 years and he still doesn't know how to be efficient!

Dumb azz.

yeah, not wearing spikes, so I can trim off limbs the day before, leaving stubs so I can make a fairly fast ascent on camera.

he took tiny peices when they could have been large, then takes a large limb when it could have hit the house, luckily limbs flipped it away.

very tempted to write on his youtube to burst his bubble, I'll wait a day or two.

Might as well take that front handle off the saw... Its only a conveniece. and its weighing him down. Was suprised to see the hand saw come out

Re: Um... Well, that\'s one way to do it.

Did you see the amount of slack he had to tend on his way up at one point? That would've been a pretty decent fall from grace.

Re: Um... Well, that\'s one way to do it.

Start time: 7:00

Tree removed and cleaned up: 1:30-2:00

Stump ground and cleaned up: 3:00

Back at shop: 3:45

Trucks parked and shop locked: 4:00

Headed home and getting paid till 5:00 = Priceless

Re: Um... Well, that\'s one way to do it.

Dang. Hated seeing the free climbing at the top of the tree. Bonehead move that affects all of our insurance rates.

Re: Um... Well, that\'s one way to do it.

That was painful to say the least but I made myself watch it anyway. I have only been climbing professionally for 10 years so I thought I could benefit from this guy's wealth of knowledge. I'm glad he's never filed an insurance claim, at first I thought it said he's never had insurance - maybe? He refers to his groundie as his "friend", I've never seen the "friend" category on a Work Comp form. By the way he wipes off his sneakers I bet he has a rock climbing background.

If you're new here be advised: use a lanyard for two points of attachment - no free climbing. Use two hands on that chainsaw. Most removals, even big ones can be done in one day.

Re: Um... Well, that\'s one way to do it.

Even the use of the handsaw was sketchy at one point while he cuts back right at his wrist.

Let's be honest - he has poor work habits, but has anyone ever shown him a different way? Although the freeclimb at 60' should just be common sense? OK - maybe you can't fix stupid??

Re: Um... Well, that\'s one way to do it.

OK - so I checked his website and he says he has been ISA certified since 200. Yeah, he should know better.

His name doesn't show up in the "Verify an ISA Certification"
