If the core is braided that splice should work. If parallel strands the Drenaline splice would be the one to use, or a couple other options.

I used the Tachyon splife on Kernmaster spec ed and it worked okay. There is a smaller diameter section on mine which probably could be corrected by reducing the core after the tail is buried, to better match the tail taper.
Did your rope come with an skinny eye already spliced on?

yes and due to its state maybe i am gonna open it and try to dissect whats in there

Brocky this is what I got.
Starting at tip of eye the bury seems to be more then 70cms long???
At this point I cut the rope and still have in the long leg bury that carries on.
On pic 1 is this cover in core in cover?
Pic 2 with skinny splice for mechanical devices.
That is my target.
Any tip for openning the splice and learn it?

Pic 1 does look like you described, you should be able to carefully pull out just the cover to let you know how long it is. The core might have some of the strands shorten to match the tapered cover you extract.

To open up, I used a soldering gun with flat blades and a rounded off carving tool under the cover. Careful cutting can also work the skinny splice isn’t super tight like the typical ones.
I don’t know who makes and splices the ropes for Petzl, so their splicing method might be different from Treufelberger’s.

from 0cm 1.JPG (eye is just cover???)until 30cm 2.JPG its just cover, no tracers, no dyneema, just empty cover.
hanging my life on that only???
bury starts at 30cm at 52cm 3.JPG is interface.
I presume its at least another 22cm of cover in core starting at 52cm ending at 75cm more or less?
4.JPG shows where I try to keep as much rope as possible, but still some cover in the long leg of rope

Looks like they use the Cousin’s Atrax splice, the splife Tachyon has some core in the eye. Depending on the percentage of cover compared to the core, two sections of cover might be stronger then the cover and core together.
