Gentlemen (and ladies!),

I reluctantly present to you two of the most stupendously stupid men alive. Both are lucky to still be among us. One of these videos might take the cake for the riskiest, stupidest, hardest to believe methods of tree cutting I have ever seen. That's saying something.

I am a firm believer that stupid kills. They have my votes for the Darwin Awards.

Video one would have been even better (or worse) if he had tied himself into to trunk he was dropping.

In video two, what was the point of the safety harness the guy had on...
 
Actually, I stand corrected about winning the Darwin Award. If you do a search on youtube for, "how not to cut a tree down", there appears to be stiff competition.

One thing that irks me is, the people who recorded the video knew these guys were idiots, yet did not call the police, try to stop them, or even have the sense to move their cars parked nearby...
 
Where's the rest of the story? Who did they finally get to put that on the ground?

It does make you wonder why nobody thought to call them off or call the police to have this halted.

This is what cheap gets you.
 
In clip one, I wonder how big the ladder was that he used to take the top and limbs out with? After that one, maybe he was used to falling with a running chainsaw and hitting the ground.
